Delvin, known as Cookie Monster 415, came up in San Francisco’s Fillmore District. His name carried weight city to city, long before brand culture. What defined him wasn’t hype or marketing, but his pursuit of real cuts—F1 Durban, Cherry Pie, and the early GSC phenos that set the stage for the Cookies era.

ORIGINAL COOKIE MONSTER

In the 2010s, while Berner and Jigga were building the Cookies brand, Delvin was shaping the culture behind it. Detroit circles gave him the name “Cookie Monster” for consistently pulling up with cookie packs at a time when Kush dominated. His role was quiet but essential—he kept Durban alive, stabilized phenos, and built trust in communities that would later crown Cookies a global movement.

SHERB, GELATO & ZKITTLEZ

Sherbinski himself credited Delvin with putting Sunset Sherb and Gelato in the right hands—connecting key figures like eBayz to the genetics that went global. He also stamped Zkittlez in its early days, back when it was largely outdoor and greenhouse grown. His ability to recognize flavor potential before it went mainstream made him a true tastemaker.

CM415 CLASSICS

Beyond the household names, Delvin curated boutique strains that became legend among smokers: Guno, Sweet Potato Pie, Blueberry Cobbler, Country Time Lemonade, and the Sandia drop—a one-weekend sellout, never recovered. These cemented his reputation as someone who prioritized candy gas and flavor above market hype.

COOKIE VISION

Delvin’s brand, Cookie Vision, wasn’t built for exclusivity. His philosophy was simple: everyone should be able to enjoy and smoke high-quality cannabis. Cookie Vision mylars moved quietly from Sacramento to Tulsa, landing in Cookies stores without fanfare or heavy promotion—just trusted flower in trusted bags. His vision was access, not clout.

BACKPACK BOYZ SYNERGY

Delvin also played a pivotal role in the early Backpack Boyz wave. Quesada and eBayz leaned on his approval during first runs like Sweet Potato Pie. His preview posts on Instagram gave credibility to drops, making them move faster and proving his QC mattered as much as his name.

DABS & GLASS COMMUNITY PRESENCE

Delvin wasn’t just a strain curator—he was known and respected in the dab and glass scene at a time when it was overwhelmingly dominated by white demographics. His presence brought balance and representation to a culture that often overlooked Black pioneers. From sessions to shows, he carried the same values: flavor, authenticity, and community.

THE LOSS

On July 7, 2021, the Bay lost one of its true originals. Social media filled with tributes—“Delvin was Cookies before Cookies” and “the streets know who really held it down.” Even in passing, he kept the same low-key approach that defined his life and work.

LEGACY & TRIBUTES

In 2024, B Eazy, eBayz, Street Cred CEO, and Cousin Cookie honored him with Candy Crisp, a tribute strain with proceeds supporting his family. It symbolized the respect Delvin commanded—his legacy carried on through flavors, tributes, and the brands he helped shape.

LEGACY LIVES ON

Delvin may not have sought fame, but his fingerprints remain across some of the most important strains and movements in modern cannabis. From Cookies to Backpack Boyz to the dab and glass community, he proved that real culture isn’t built on hype, but on flavor, trust, and vision.
