Candy Fumez began as a collaboration between two breeding operations and developed into a multistate competition success. Its candy-forward profile helped establish its identity, but the variety's growing reputation came through the cultivators and extractors who brought it into competitions across the country.
The 2021 Cross
Candy Fumez was bred in 2021 by Bloom Seed Company in collaboration with Boston Roots Seed Co.
Its genetic foundation is:
Zkittlez (Z) × Sherbanger
The cross was developed around candy-forward terpenes and a sticky finish.
According to the original account, the variety was already circulating through cannabis communities before its competition achievements began accumulating.
2023: Colorado Starts the Run
The first major competition recognition came in Colorado.
According to the original account, Golden Leaf Steamboat won first place Hybrid Flower with Candy Fumez at the Rooster Cannabis THC Classic.

Zalympix Michigan
According to the original account, RKive Labs won Best Overall.
RKive Labs won Best Tasting Flower.
Transbay Challenge V, California
- Green Dawg California received Best of the Rest.

NECann Cup, New England
- Rolax won first place Home-Grow Pre-Roll.
The results extended the strain's recognition into additional regional markets and product categories.

Candy Fumez's competition history covered more than traditional flower.
The original account documents recognition across:

Disposable vapes.
Rosin vapes.
Ice water hash.
Pre-rolls.
Different cultivators and manufacturers brought the genetics into their respective markets, creating a competition record that extended from California and Colorado to New Jersey, Washington, D.C., Michigan, Oklahoma and Massachusetts.
Legacy: A Generational Run
Candy Fumez developed from a 2021 Zkittlez × Sherbanger collaboration into a variety represented across multiple states and cannabis product categories.
Bloom Seed Company and Boston Roots Seed Co established the genetic foundation. Cultivators and extractors subsequently helped build its competition reputation through their individual releases.
By 2025, Candy Fumez had accumulated recognition across flower, rosin, vapes, hash and pre-rolls.
One genetic line had found success in nearly every major product category represented in its competition history.
