WATER BOYZ: CARTOONS, HASH & CALI CULTURE

STOCKTON TO THE SESH

Chad grew up in Stockton watching his father breed cannabis and peeking through blinds at a world that was both hidden and formative. Brad was there from the beginning—animator, co-founder, and lifelong collaborator. Both were introduced to cannabis young and chose art as their outlet.

FIRE, FLOODS & FOUR LIGHTS

Chad chased Calaveras County’s green rush until the county abruptly voided licenses, leaving partners gone and doors locked. A fire evacuation damaged crops and left him with a $4,000 PG&E bill. He rebuilt in a basement with four lights, running rosin that eventually pulled him deeper into solventless.

CARTOONS BEFORE CUTS

Chad and Brad launched Water Boyz 710 as an animation project before cannabis was even packaged. Brad created nonstop characters and skits, while soundtracks followed naturally: “Dabs on Me,” then “Give Me the Hash” over a Slater beat. Their trailer anthem cleared more than 20,000 streams.

FROM 4-TAY TO FULL-TIME

LT Kali grew up in Lodi and Stockton—balancing football fields, band rooms, and freestyle stages. After losing his father at 16, he left school at 17 and spent $200 on a showcase that landed him alongside Rappin’ 4-Tay. From there, he met E-40 and Snoop, signed deals, toured, and eventually went independent. Building a content house in Chico, he crossed paths with Chad and Brad right before Terp Wars, forming the three-man Water Boyz team.

EGO CLASH & BEYOND

Collaborations with Breezy Tee brought trophies: second place in rosin and fifth place in melt with “Starburst.” They also partnered with Hosebeest on Mountain Grease and Trilogy. The crew judged Ego Clash, shot DabRite ads, and pushed sesh standards like no reheats, no dirty iso, and no chazzed glass.

TERP WARS → HASH COWBOYS

The animated universe scaled with Terp Wars and Terp Wars II, featuring artists like Traphouse Koda and Hank Trill. The saga expanded into Hash Cowboys, where every skit tied into an album and every drop carried a soundtrack.

FROM CREST TO THE CROWD

Their premiere at the Crest Theatre was followed by shows in Boston and New York City. Fans created memes, quoted lyrics, and brought gear to events. The crew recorded over 100 tracks in less than two years, cementing their place as both artists and hash advocates.

CONSISTENCY OVER CLOUT

To the Water Boyz, dab culture is not about hype but about work. They value originality, consistency, and respect for the sesh. From basement runs to Ego Clash trophies, they transformed smoke into story and built culture around it.

The Water Boyz proved that when art, hash, and music converge, the culture doesn’t just move forward—it multiplies.
