jp toro grew up in philly with comic books, graffiti & big ideas. art school sketches evolved into scientific glasswork when he landed in ithaca, new york—laying the foundation for clean welds & function-first design.
BEAKER DREAMS
in the early 2000s, jp refined classic glass shapes—creating the first stemless diffuser and pioneering natural, tree & circ percs with flawless seals. toro focused on engineering smoke, not chasing hype.
TORO GLASS IS BORN
in 2006, jp and a tight family crew launched toro glass in upstate new york, crafting small-batch pieces with no outsourcing. countless prototypes produced market staples like the 7/13, circ circ, and circ 13 in both tall & micro forms. this era birthed iconic percs like the jp perc, tree perc, fused 4, dome perc & more.
bigwaste, jp toro’s early right-hand, helped craft iconic toro pieces & fume work throughout the 2000s.
SCIENTIFIC TO PSYCHEDELIC
toro glass blended function and flair—opal marbles, vibrant accents & perfect symmetry pushed every design forward. grails, core reactors & the terp slurper cemented toro’s place in quartz culture.
SLURPER SEASON
2017 changed the dab game. the toro slurper’s vortex action, pearls & pillar tech set a new standard across the globe.
MILLE MOVES
jp experimented with millie in the late 2000s and leveled up by 2017. comic strip mosaics fused into rigs proved he could merge art school roots with glass wizardry.
HIGHLY CONNECTED
in 2024, jp opened a new york dispensary & gallery hybrid—unifying flower, hash & toro glass under one roof. the same precision behind his tubes now fuels curated cannabis drops.
