Kush on My Brain: Pixels, Pre-Rolls and Pressure

Macro Beginnings

Jade Marie Kush launched her cannabis photography journey in 2012 with nothing more than an iPhone 4, capturing true-color macro shots of sticky California imports while London was still dominated by pollen spliffs. By 2014, her vivid images caught the attention of Berner’s #FlavorGameInsane, making her one of the first UK women to carve out a lane for bud photography as an art form.

Resin Shooter Era

From 2013 onward, Jade’s content helped put California brands on the UK map. She secured jars nobody else could—real Zkittlez, Connected California, Cookies, and The Ten Co—turning her feed into a cultural touchpoint. Brands like Essential Extracts and Sour Connoisseur regularly credited her “Shot by Kush on My Brain” on rosin pours and trichome stacks. No filters. No HDR. Just raw resin and flawless white balance.

Culture Courier

By 2018, Jade became the bridge between London and Los Angeles. Her trips to California sharpened her palate, expanded her network, and cemented her status as London’s plug for West Coast exotics. She rolled Cali flavors into UK cannons, hosted tastings, and deepened a decade-long bond with The Ten Co—rooted in a shared love for the plant and East Coast Sour Diesel. Her bio flags flipped to “UK ↔ USA,” signaling her transatlantic perspective.

KOMB™ Is Born

In 2021, audience demand evolved into commerce. KushOnMyBrain.com launched as “essentials for the connoisseur,” offering custom tips, premium papers, limited-edition merch, and a booking hub for product photography. Even her tongue-in-cheek disclaimer read: “no Berner ;)”.

Shadowban Survival

The Instagram purges of 2022–2023 and algorithm chokeholds forced a pivot. Jade adopted the mantra, “you can delete posts but not a name.” Client work stayed steady while she quietly prototyped a pre-roll line featuring her Kush on My Brain logotype etched into every crutch.

Relaunch Mode

By late 2024, Jade shifted her focus to X (formerly Twitter). Within months, her account gained 5,000 followers thanks to blunt takes, daily macro threads, and UK/Cali strain reviews. Her profile still proudly shows the 2012 origin date—a signal of longevity in a scene obsessed with trends.

Next Chapter

Rumors swirl of a limited photo zine, Trichomes & Timezones, and collaboration pre-roll drops at UK cannabis expos—hinting at Jade’s next evolution.

Kush on My Brain turned a lens into a lane and a lane into a legacy.
