NYC Roots and Miami Runs
Raised in the Dyckman neighborhood of New York City, eBayz relocated to Orlando at the age of 17, where he built crucial connections throughout Miami’s cannabis scene. During an era when Cuban-grown Haze dominated, he began transporting it back to New York—becoming a key figure in the Haze trade.
Bay Area Breakthrough
In 2011, eBayz moved to San Francisco, immersing himself in California’s emerging cannabis culture. There, he encountered strains like Girl Scout Cookies (GSC) and Bay Area purples—genetics virtually unknown on the East Coast at the time. A chance connection through his barber introduced him to Delvin, who opened doors to legendary cuts such as Thin Mint from Jigga’s camp, F1 Durban, Cherry Pie, Forum Cut, and the early Sunset Sherbert.
Sherb Packs Go East
At the time, even possessing a single ounce of Sunset Sherb signaled access to the inner Cookie Fam circle. Thanks to Delvin, eBayz was included in the first-ever Sherb pack drop—becoming the first person to transport Sunset Sherb to the East Coast, catalyzing a new cultural wave in New York cannabis.
Gelato Era Begins
Soon after, he secured early Gelato phenotypes—#41, #33, and #25—through his Bay Area network. With first choice on the packs, eBayz played a foundational role in igniting what would become one of the most iconic strain movements in modern cannabis history.
Redemption Arc
Legal troubles eventually led to a serious court case. eBayz accepted a plea deal and served his sentence. Upon release, he returned with renewed purpose—determined to rebuild his name and legacy in the industry.
Backpack Wave Begins
While incarcerated, fellow insider Animalpack420 told him about a rising delivery crew in Pittsburg called Backpack Boyz. Just two days after his release, eBayz—through Cookie connections—met the group’s founder, Quesada. It was there that he first heard cannabis referred to as “candy,” a term that would shape a generation of strain branding. This meeting helped launch Backpack Boyz influence in both New York and Florida.
Delvin’s Legacy Lives On
Following Delvin’s untimely passing, his cousin had a dream in which he told her, “All your answers are back home.” She reconnected with F1 Durban, who pointed her toward eBayz. Motivated by Delvin’s memory, eBayz pitched the idea for Cookie Crisp—a strain sold in a cereal box—and earned approval from none other than B Eazy, the cultural tastemaker known for cereal-themed cannabis packaging.
Candy Crisp Motion
In 2024, eBayz teamed up with B Eazy, Street Cred CEO, and Delvin’s cousin to launch Candy Crisp—a collaborative tribute strain drop with proceeds benefiting Delvin’s family. The drop went viral and solidified eBayz as a vital connector in the evolving cannabis ecosystem.
Brand Launch: eBayz 3.0
Building on years of motion and momentum, he launched his own brand: eBayz 3.0. The name was inspired by his brother—pulling from the “E,” the Bay Area, and his cross-coastal hustle. The brand reflects a legacy born in Dyckman, sharpened in the Bay, and rooted in resilience.
From city streets to coast-to-coast strain runs, eBayz turned hardship into innovation—writing his name into modern cannabis culture.
